Change in the Academic Calendar

Dear 2010/11 exchange students, please note there has been a change in the Academic Calendar. The obligatory Integration Week will start on 20 September, and the classes begin on 27 September. 7th Meeting of International Erasmus Students in Poland

National Agency for LLP-Erasmus in Poland (FRSE), Adam Mickiewicz University in Poznań and ESN Poznań invite all Erasmus students in Poland to the meeting between 14 and 16 May near Poznań. This year's theme will be Poland in the Middle Ages - a chance to get a first-hand experience of the tradition and history, and to take part in a knight tournament. Invitation, programme of the event and registration form are here. Register early, there is not much time left!

Summer semester exchange students are here

Hard work in the lecture rooms has already started for the international students who chose to spend their exchange semester at the Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice. Before that, between 8 and 13 February, they enjoyed the eventful Integration Week organized by ESN, getting to know the city, region, University, Polish students and each other. The activities included an information session at the University, city rally, visits to the Tyskie Brewery and coal mine in Zabrze, skiing in Bytom and the Global Village party. We hope that studying in Katowice will become and unforgettable experience for all our international students, giving them beautiful memories and some really good friends.

Ranking of Academic Schools 2009

We are delighted to highlight the position of the Karol Adamiecki University of Economics in Katowice in the Rzeczpospolita ranking of academic schools in Poland. Under the category of Internationalization, our University took the 1st place among our region's state and non-state higher education institutions, the 2nd place among Poland's state universities of economics and the 11th place among all 90 institutions included in the ranking. We will be pleased to see you at UEK.
